Good Location. Average monthly pay. Assigned extra working hours (about 10 per month without pay).
Working conditions are under constant pressure from racist/transient directors. Owner (Mr. Cha) is a drunk that fires any E-2 visa holder that will not accompany him on a drinking binge. Does not list E-2 holders as teachers (contract workers) so he does not have to pay pension (NPS). Airfare never rembursed and many teachers fired in 11th month to avoid both airfares and severence pay. No national heath insurance – just travelers insurance. Numerous contract violations. NO DARK SKINNED OR CURLY HAIRED PEOPLE NEED APPLY.

Owner refused to talk to me. I was told that he does speak to FOREIGNERS and I was fired because I looked over 30. The unfriendly, non-English speaking staff blames the recruiter (through a student translator) for misrepresenting my age. Everyday was a working hell at this place. This same school has a new campus in Ansan – same wonderful owner! AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

This is the trifecta of the 3 “Cha” owner schools. He rarely shows up at this location. The person to avoid is the manager Rebecca Kim. She is as racist as they come and desperate to keep her job at any cost to others. When she is depressed (usually M-F), she openly expresses how she hates the English language – even though she does have a middle school ability to express and comprehend the language. She will openly state her issues to the staff and students about her family in the Philippines – from her cheating husband to how her kids can’t speak Korean any more. She is very unprofessional and fires almost all English teachers in their 11th month to save airfare and severance pay. Pension is also never paid.
