Reading Town Yeonje-gu is your typical money maker. The director has only one thing on his mind – money. He overcharges families, and refuses to turn on the heat/AC. I had students freezing in December, and wore coats to class.
They give you all the curriculum, to the point where it’s mindless work. You have no room for creativity.
They pay you average salary, 2.2m. I have been paid late a few times, without any apology. It was more of a “I’ll get around to it eventually” type deal.
Also, the director doubles as the landlord. My only toilet broke, and he didn’t fix it for over a day. Then he charged me for it, even though all maintenance charges are supposed to be on him.
My advice: work for another hagwon. There’s hundreds out there to choose from.
