As part of the Jung Chul chain, you’d expect the working conditions to be a little better. Foreign teachers are given little authority or guidance, leaving the impression that you’re some sort of decorative feature. The principal is a stern and angry man who refuses to communicate with anyone that disagrees with him, regardless of whether or not he’s being unreasonable. Pay has also been a problem for more than one foreign teacher, with scant regard for contractual obligations. Both foreign and Korean teachers are given little respect.
