The positive aspects of the place:
-you always get paid on time
-you get paid for the work that you do
-you get a fairly good amount of money (however there are many hours of unpaid prep and grading time which may ultimately mean that it averages out to about the same as other places)
-the students perform at a fairly high level so that the material that you teach is more interesting

The negative aspects of the place:
-Though they like to give an image that they are not like other hagwons, that they are honest, there is a fair amount of politicking and even shady behavior. This means that you have to watch your back at this academy (I hear though that there is a lot worse out there).
-sometimes they switch up the contracts on you, so you have to read everything very carefully before signing
-in the past they’ve tried to make people into freelancers so that they don’t have to pay them the severance pay (which legally they must).
-they’ve tried to get people to sign off so that they don’t have any healthcare even after it was promised

I heard there are places where the politicking is worse, but you still have to watch your back at this place.
Some of the worst aspects are that you have to be very careful of the contract that you sign, because there have been times when they don’t fully comply with the terms of the contract, such as not providing you with healthcare of trying to get you to resign a different contract that is detrimental to you while financially advantageous to them. Don’t make any assumptions when signing contracts, make sure you read it all. Also there’ve been moments when they don’t comply with the full terms of their contract, such as by not providing health insurance for you.
