I've heard its got worse since I left. The people were nice, but there was a lot of stress and too much work. Things were very disorganized sometimes too. I also heard that they don't give very good recommendations. My advice would be try to find a job with less reponsibilities or more money. Sanbon Herald should not be your first choice. Sanbon Herald School is an excellent place to start off in Korea and gain experience. I have heard a lot of horror stories about other hagwons, but at Herald you will always be paid on time and the support staff is kind and willing to help. Cindy, the afternoon head teacher, is an incredible person and has helped me more times than I can count. Also, the children are very well behaved and their mothers often give the teachers gifts out of appreciation for their work. I know that many people, including me, have extended contracts at Herald, which says a lot. Also, former teachers often visit and come to company dinners. If you want to work in Korea but are worried about ending up at a shady school, I can vouch that Sanbon Herald is a secure place to work and is full of good people.
