Education Road Institute (ERI) – Dobong: Ssangmun-dong, Seoul

Pretty much the worst gig you can get in Korea. I started working here because my previous hagwon wasnt paying and they offered a resonable sounding job. Most of the other teachers who start here are in the same situation and dont want to leave korea. DONT BE FOOLED.. do not work here. The first month they were late with my pay. one week later I recieved half. The next month it was a little longer and a little less. this went on for four months. Finally when my phone was shut off because i found out, even though they were taking money from my pay to pay my phone bill, they werent paying it. Finally, after giving them my notice, accepting that I will not recieve my last months pay or the back pay owed, I quit. I tried a few times to call him for my pay and the first time he told me, while being quite verbally abusive, that he wont pay me any money until I sue him and win. needless to say im in the proces! s of doing so. THIS IS NOT AN ISOLATED INSIDENT, every other teacher is goign through the same thing here. Do not work for these people . unless you like to volunteer.
